Beginning to mobilise
This group has been set up to investigate how we can use mobile technologies in ILS to deliver and promote our services and resources. The aims we've set out are:
In our first few meetings we brainstormed the kinds of things that we might want to implement including:
We're working on both of these tasks at the moment and as we form more concrete ideas of what we're going to do we'll update here.
- Investigate mobile technologies with particular application to ILS Services
- To examine the use of mobile technologies to support students in their learning
- To implement key projects that will enhance the use of resources and promote ILS services
- To examine and evaluate good practice in the HE sector

- Text message notifications
- Delivering inductions via mobile devices
- Providing course materials via mobiles
- Making library systems available on mobiles
